First look at the new liquid lipsticks from Anastasia Beverly Hills

Anastasia Beverly Hills came out with new colors for spring and of course I had to get the nudes! I could only get my hands on two of them, but I just bought Naked, so I’m waiting for it to come!

Pure Hollywood is my holy grail, so I knew I was going to love the new ones. I bought “Stripped” and “Crush”. They may look a bit similar, but when you swatch them they are completely different. Since I’m really fair, the first one (called “Stripped”) is a little dark on me, but if you have a bit of a tan, this will be the perfect nude for you!

Stripped is a neutral beige nude and Crush is a soft beige (lighter than Dusty Rose). I really like the formula, nothing new there. I would 100% recommend these and I can’t wait to get my hands on the other ones. There’s something for everyone!

PREP YOUR SKIN FOR MAKEUP AND GET THE PERFECT BASE

Hi loves! It’s important to prep your skin, it will make your makeup go on a lot smoother and make a HUGE difference. Not many people think about it, but taking care of your skin is an important step when it comes to makeup, that’s why I wanted to make this post, and tell you about my routine.

Something that’s important for everybody: Exfoliate your skin and apply moisturizer. I always do that before I put a primer on and it makes my foundation routine so much easier. This is key to get the perfect base, I promise you.

I have dry skin and even though I use a moisturizing primer and foundation, you can still see it clinging to my skin, but when I do these steps before my makeup, it changes everything. Even if you’re oily, it’s still important to moisturize, just one without oil of course.

Exfoliating makes a huge difference too because when your old skin cells start to pile up on the surface of your skin, it can make it look very dull, dry and rough. The build-up can also result in excess oil and clogged pores, which can cause blemishes and acne. And when you exfoliate, you can instantly tell. Your skin becomes smooth, even and soft. Which will make the foundation look flawless!

So here’s the tips for the perfect base, so always remember to prep! 🙂

POPULAR TREND ATM: COLOR CORRECTING – ALL THE NEW PRODUCTS AND A HOW TO GUIDE

Color correcting is super popular at the moment, everyone is releasing so many new products, so I thought I would tell you guys about it and explain what it’s all about, for those of you who may be confused.

You can apply them in different ways, but I wills suggest during it under your foundation, I promise you won’t be able to see it after!

Green: The color green neutralizes the color red, so if you have a lot of redness on your skin, this will help you. You can use it for rosacea, windburn or sunburn, even a zit, or any acne scars.

Purple/lavender: Helps eliminate unwanted yellow undertones on your skin. It also helps with dullness and will add a glow to the skin.

Pink: It’s more salmon or peach, so don’t worry haha. It will brighten around the eye area, most used for dark under eye circles. This one I always use, so helpful.

Yellow: Hides purple/blue bruises, veins, and even under eye circles. If you’re very fair, it can be more noticeable, and that’s why a yellow concealer is great.

Orange: If you’re fair, it’s best to stay away from these. An orange concealer is perfect for darker skin tones, to hide dark under eye circles or other discoloration.

White: Be careful with this one. It can be used for highlighting and only use it in those areas of your face.

There’s also a BUNCH of different color correcting primers, so maybe a green primer would be easier, if you need it all over your face. That’s up to you! 🙂

These are all a bit pricey, you can also find a lot of good drugstore ones, I just picked the ones that are new and just released! 🙂
